Music & Sound Craft

About the Discipline

Music & Sound Craft

Music & Sound Craft recognizes the specialized skills demonstrated in the production or execution of original, licensed, and adapted music as well as sound in videos, commercial spots, or other work utilizing audio as a key component of its creative.

Entering Music & Sound Craft

Who should enter?

Music Makers
Composers, musicians, music houses, supervisors, and artist collaborators creating, selecting, or adapting music for branded work.

Sound Specialists
Sound designers, audio producers, mixers, and sonic branding teams shaping how an idea is heard and felt.

Entrants of all types are welcome, including independent practitioners, studios, agencies, and brand teams.

Entry Tips

Give judges a clear listening experience that foregrounds the craft being entered. Explain how the music or sound creates meaning, emotion, or a distinctive brand expression within the work.

Identify what was composed, licensed, adapted, designed, or performed, as relevant. Include enough context to reveal the creative choices and their effect, while allowing the actual audio execution to carry the entry.

Good to Know

Entering

There is no limit to the number of categories in Music & Sound Craft into which the same work may be entered.

All work must have been client-commissioned and adhere to the terms for International Entries, Non-Compliance, and other One Show terms of entry.

Fees
