In 2025, the Shinbashi Enbujō Theater in Ginza, Tokyo, celebrated the centenary of its founding. Opened in 1925 as a stage on which Geishas could present their artistry, it has ever since continued to enchant generations of audiences with Kabuki, drama and a wide range of performing arts.
To mark this 100th anniversary and to express its gratitude to the district where the company was born, Shiseido presented the theater with a new main curtain, “Traces of Trance.” Into this single curtain, Shiseido has distilled an aesthetic that bridges past and future. Affirming its commitment not only to providing the tangible value of cosmetics, but also to sustaining and passing on the culture of beauty to future generations.
